Government of Pakistan has proposed 29 Industrial Zones and 21 Mineral Economic Processing Zones in four provinces of Pakistan. These Industrial Zones and Mineral Economic Processing Zones will boost up Pakistan economic growth rate and will developed economy of Pakistan with increase in employment opportunities in the country.

Punjab:

The Federal Government has proposed Industrial Zones in the following cities/areas of Punjab;

  • Sialkot
  • Gujranwala
  • Rawat
  • Lahore
  • Multan
  • Sundar
  • Vehari

 

For Mineral Economic Processing Zones Federal Government has proposed

  • Salt Range
  • Chiniot for Iron Ore

 

Sindh:

 

The Federal Government of Pakistan has proposed the site for Industrial Estates in Sindh in Following cities or areas;

  • Sukkhar
  • Larkana
  • Karachi
  • Bin Qasim
  • Korangi
  • Creek
  • Khair Pur

 

For Mineral Economic Processing Zones Government of Pakistan has proposed the following cities;

  • Thar (Coal)
  • Lakhra (Coal)

 

Khyber Pukhtoonkhwa (KPK) and FATA;

Government of Pakistan has proposed the cities/areas for Industrial Zones in KPK are;

  • Gadoon
  • Ghazi
  • I.Khan
  • Jalozai
  • Nowshera
  • Bannu
  • Chitral
  • Risalpur

The site for Mineral Economic Processing Zones in KPK are;

  • Dargai (Chromites)
  • North Waziristan (Chromites)
  • Chitral (Iron ore, Lead
  • Besham (Iron ore, lead)
  • Nizampur (Iron ore)
  • Mohmond (Marble)

 

Balochistan:

Government of Pakistan has proposed Industrial Zones in the following cities/areas of Balochistan:

  • Quetta
  • Khuzdar
  • Dostan
  • Gwadar
  • Uthal
  • Hub
  • Dera Murad Jamali

The porposed Mineral Economic Processing Zones are in the following areas/cities;

  • Khuzdar (Chromites, Antimony)
  • Chagi (Chromites)
  • Qilla Saifullah (Chromites, Antimony)
  • Saindak (Gold, Silver)
  • RekoDiq (Gold)
  • Kalat (Iron ore)
  • Lasbela (Manganese)
  • Gwadar (Oil Refinery)
  • Muslim Bagh (Chromites)

 

These are the only proposed Industrial Zones and Mineral Economic Processing Zones it has finalized by Federal Government of Pakistan and Chinese Authorities.
