Chinese firm to develop cultural communication centre in KPK: Bureau Report



Beijing, April 26: China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) Cultural communication centre (CCC) and provincial government of Pakistani province Khyber Pakhtunkhwa(KPK) have successfully signed significant Memorandum of understanding on cultural exchanges at investment road show held here in Beijing.

A two-day “KP Economic Cooperation Road Show” offered investment opportunities and economic collaboration to the Chinese state-owned as well as private enterprises in more than 100 projects in KPK.

More than 500 hundred state owned and private Chinese enterprises participated in the event and signed dozens of bilateral business agreements benefitting the KPK.

CPEC CCC also attended the economic road show and signed significant agreement with KPK government for enhancing understanding of each other’s culture.

Under the agreement, it was finalized that Chinese firm will establish cultural communication centre in KPK with the assistance of local government.

The Chinese company has also committed to provide 20 scholarships to KPK students in the field of fine arts and Chinese language identified by the provincial government.

It was also decided that Chinese firm will also arrange the exposure tours to cultural journalists of KPK for enhancing the understanding of Chinese culture.

Under the MOU the KPK cultural shows will also be arranged in different cities of China for the promotion of provincial colors in Chinese citizens.

Both the sides agreed to develop mutually advantageous forms of cooperation in the field of cultural industry and entrepreneurship.

It was also agreed that both the sides shall encourage direct contacts between their cultural entrepreneurs and artisans and cultural delegates will be sent to each other’s countries for participating in international cultural participants.


The KPK government and Chinese company both expressed satisfaction and termed this cultural exchange agreement a success for both sides.
