Rawalpindi- (Educational Reporter) Department of Communication and Media Studies, Fatima Jinnah Women Universityorganized one day training seminar for Media Sciences Students on “Film- Making & Documentary Screening (Human Rights Film Festival)” with collaboration of Embassy of Sweden together withthe European Union Delegation to Pakistan.
Chief Guest was Ingrid Johansson Ambassador of Sweden Embassy and Mr.Jawad Sharif (an award- winning filmmaker) was the Guest Speaker, he said its feels great to be a part of UN and Swedish alumni, in his training he talked about Commercial & Social Cinema and how its impact on our society. Further he talked about film making, human rights in filmmaking, how film making used for social change,what mistake we do during production and what are challenges and what critical thinking analysis needed for your film making content to go through from deeper critical conditions also said it is one skill, separating innovators from followers. Further taking about film making human rights said it is what your film revolves around and what message you are going to spread in society.
After session Mr. JawadSharif screening his own film “Indus Blue” that was appreciated by Media students and he thanked to all faculty and specially students to give him such a great appreciation from them, he love to come again for such session in university.
At the end Head of Department, Communication & Media Studies Dr. Ahlam Tariq thanked to Mr. Jawad Sharif for coming and delivered such a great session and presented souvenir.
