He said that tourism accounts for 2.8% of Pakistan’s GDP and 10% of global GDP, and asked the government to make an extensive effort to increase its participation.
He said that the Rawalpindi Chamber has arranged Gurdwara Darbar Sahib Kartarpur visit for its members to visit, which was aimed at promoting tourist destinations, promoting religious cohesion and addressing the problems faced by the tourism sector.
To promote local tourism it is necessary to reduce the transportation cost so that more people can see the tourist destinations in the country, he suggested.
